How can we use upcoming technology and mobility to create more awareness of our local environment? This project uses geotracking on mobile devices to display historical monuments. The user can scan areas around him and gets information on its history. Lost monuments, like cathedrals or the Berlin wall can be displayed on their genuine locations.

Additional background information is only one click away and always accessible.

The project was made before iPads have been invented. The prototype worked with an QR marker, a webcam, and a handheld display. It made its job pretty well.

Together with Dominik Huber and Jan Schlegel.
